About Incubator Sports
In a split second
Incubator Sports is an online sporting agency dedicated to creating exposure for both upcoming, and established sportsmen. Each sports person is able to create their own online profile, showcasing their sport's code, characteristics, ability, CV, and more - bringing together sport's brightest talents in one online space, and allowing them to drive their careers to new heights.
Kick off in the garage
Ok that was a lie, we started Incubator Sports in our office. Start-ups just sound better when they begin in a garage.
As two former sportsmen who didn´t make it for one reason or another, we decided to put together a platform that would allow today´s athletes to
showcase their talents around the world, and not just to the coaches who select the regional team.
So began Incubator Sports — born from the wild ideas of 2 sports-crazed fans with a vendetta against the man. And somehow soon to be supported by one of the nicest guys in South African Sport.
TAKEN IN BY KEEGAN DANIEL
Keegan, clearly still dazed from the previous weekend´s Currie Cup final win, agreed to take us under his wing and drive our idea within his personal capacity. His passion for South African sport, and upcoming sportsmen in general, was apparent immediately and with Keegan´s help Incubator Sports has grown into one of the most cutting-edge sports development platforms in the world.
PUNTED FORWARD BY RYK NEETHLING
As if we hadn´t had enough luck. We know what you´re thinking — the Olympic Gold Medallist helped Incubator Sports diversify into swimming. Wrong. The Olympic Gold Medallist helped Incubator Sports diversify into business. With the incredible help of ex swimmer and current businessman, Ryk Neethling, Incubator Sports was able to build its business model and keep developing into a platform that works for its users.
PUSHED TOWARDS GOALS BY AUSTIN SMITH
To bolster the Incubator Sports attack, we were joined by South African Men’s hockey captain Austin Smith! Currently plying his trade in the Netherlands, Austin has helped to head up Incubator Hockey by giving valuable insight vital to the development of young hockey players across the country. His knowledge of the game and passion for the further development of the sport make him a fantastic ambassador and Incubator Sports is proud to have onboard.
AN INJECTION OF BLITZ FROM MPHO MBIYOZO
Adding some pace and sidestepping flow to Incubator Sports, former Blitz Bokke captain Mpho Mbiyozo has joined the Incubator Sports team. Now coaching, shaping young rugby players into future stars is what Mpho is all about, and he brought his techniques and skills to the pitch for us assisting in developing the performance tests and strategy Incubator Sports have brought forward! An inspiring flank on the Incubator Sports team.
BREAKING THE LINE WITH STEFAN TERBLANCHE
The Incubator Sports team are also proud to be joined by former Sharks and Springbok legend, Stefan Terblanche. Stefan’s long and illustrious career started of at the Boland Cavaliers under the tutelage of Nick Mallet. He made his debut for the Natal Sharks in 1999, and four years later decided to make the bold move overseas, to Wales specifically to play for Ospreys. Stefan moved back to the Natal Sharks, to represent them in their victorious 2007 Currie Cup season. Stefan is known as a great finisher; in his 37 tests for South Africa he scored 19 tries!
